THE ROYAL ANGLIAN REGIMENT ASSOCIATION

MEMBERSHIP

The following are qualified to be members of the Association:

  • All who have served or are serving in The Regiment (both Regular and TA).
  • Those who have served in Former Regiments.
  • Widows and dependants of past members of The Regiment and of the Former Regiments, are eligible for membership as ‘Honorary Members’.
  • The Executive Committee is empowered to invite other suitable persons to become ‘Honorary Members’.

AIM

The aim of the Association is to promote the military efficiency of The Royal Anglian Regiment by:

  • Maintaining the history, traditions, ésprit de corps’ and comradeship of all present and past members of The Regiment and Former Regiments.
  • Referring for consideration by the Executive Committee of Regimental Benevolent Charity, in times of need, those past and present members of The Regiment, the Former Regiments or the dependants, widows or orphans of those who are serving or who have served.
  • To assist former members of The Regiment who wish to remain in contact with former comrades.
  • To advise and assist, where possible, members of The Regiment to obtain employment in civil life.
  • To support The Regiment in every way possible, in particular, recruiting for the Regular and TA Forces.

CONSTITUTION

The Association consists of:     

  • The President, Brig RM Brunt CBE , who is appointed by the Colonel of The Regiment.
  • The Chairman of the Executive Committee, who is appointed by the President, but is usually the Regimental Secretary.
  • The Trustees who are:
  • The Colonel of The Regiment
  • The Regimental Secretary
  • 4 co-opted trustees.
  • The Executive Committee and such other committees as may be required from time to time.
  • Members.

Members may apply for a membership pack from Regimental Headquarters, this consists of:

  • A membership card
  • A list of all Association Branches
  • An application form for subscription to the ‘Castle’
  • Regimental Shop catalogue
